The art is inspired by the farming / country community especially of eastern North Carolina. With a family that for generations has been invested in that lifestyle, the art attempts to honor that heritage.
Inspired by years of working on old classic cars and walking miles at car shows. From a family that believes family bonding best happens over cars and with greasy hands, this art honors the experience and knowledge from the great men who taught so much.

Michael Bowen is an artist from Garner, North Carolina. Throughout his years, he spent a lot of time on both of his grandparents’ farms. He also spent a lot of time around classic cars with his father and uncles.
What started as a hobby to relax, his artworks capture those memories and the history of rural North Carolina.
